PIEDMONT REC. MIDDLE GRADES BASEBALL VOLUNTARY WORKOUTS
We, will be offering VOLUNTARY workouts for those interested in trying out for the 2010 Piedmont Rec. Middle Grades Baseball Team. These workouts are for those who are serious in wanting to try out for the middle grades baseball team and are in no way mandatory. Tryouts are open to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. We will be having both a Varsity and Junior Varsity Baseball team again this year. Therefore I would like for everyone to sign-up, email, or call me at the below information so I will know all students who are planning on trying out when mandatory tryouts begin. You will need to sign a release form that says that if you were to get injured, you are covered by your own personal insurance policy. If you do not have a personal insurance policy, you will not be able to participate in these workouts. This is for the individual player�s safety as well as PRA and their Coaches. The workout dates and tryout dates are as follows:

There are three divisions: Prep League: 13 year olds, Babe Ruth League: 14 - 15 year olds Senior Babe Ruth: 16 - 18 year olds.
The Spring season runs April 1st to July 1st. The Fall season runs August 15th to October 15th.
There are two divisions for each age group: an A division and a B division. Games are played within there own division. This allows for more competitive play and equal playing time.
